About Us

The Louisiana Small Business Development Center (SBDC) has been in existence for over 25 years and in that time has established a solid reputation as an effective agency in the community, eager to help small businesses prosper.

The Louisiana SBDC is part of a network of nine centers throughout Louisiana, located at colleges and universities and serving the entrepreneurs of Louisiana.

The Louisiana SBDC is an information clearinghouse designed to assist small businesses succeed.  The mission of our center is to provide:

    • Free Counseling
    • Seminars
    • Resource Information

The Louisiana SBDC networks with the area economic development agencies, creating a web of support that entrepreneurs can use to assist them in achieving their goals.

The Louisiana Small Business Development Center at UL Lafayette serves the Acadiana Region.  The parishes we serve include: Acadia, St. Landry, St. Mary, Lafayette, Evangeline, Iberia, Vermilion, St. Martin.

The Louisiana SBDC operates in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration under Cooperative Agreement Number 9-603001-Z-0019-5 and the Louisiana Department of Economic Development.  The support by the U.S. Small Business Administration through such funding does not constitute an express or implied endorsement of the co-sponsor(s) or participant's opinions, products or services.
